When someone told me with the Hoover model F7452-900 that I could go over my carpets once and notice a difference, I was skeptical but I was ready to purchase so I purchased the F7452-900.

I can now confirm that I do get a noticeable difference by just going over my carpet once.  After reading all the reviews and there is a ton.  Some things stood out for me with F7452-900.  Every talked about the suction of the Max Extract and I’m all about that.  I think the suction is what not only cleans your floors and carpets by pulling dirt and pet hair out but it’s also about the drying time.  I can say that my carpets are dry in about 2 hours after using the F7452-900.  That’s pretty huge!

The F7452-900 Sanitizes.

My other big thing that I want to accomplish when I clean is sanitizing and so for me it had to be a steam cleaner.  I read somewhere about the statistics for steam cleaning versus no steam and I don’t have the statistics but it truly was a big difference.  Steam kills germs.

I like it when it smells clean too.

So I was really hoping that this steamvac would not leave that wet dog smell that I experienced before with cleaners and guess what?  It smelt clean, no wet dog.  To me steam cleaning and good smelling go hand in hand.

Lets talk about the good and the bad

This article is sounding like a review and I guess it is but I really just wanted to write about it.  Some people in the review sites talked about leakage.   Who wants leakage? Not me and to be honest I got a little at first.  I figured out that it was all in the technique and once I got the technique down I no longer had puddles.  If you’re interested, all I did was release the trigger just before finishing a run.  Pretty simple to master

 Noise a problem the F7452-900, not really.

Apparently, noise can be a problem for some with the F7452-900.  To me, this is only a problem if you think carpet cleaning needs to be done quietly.  If I’m cleaning carpets then I expect noise.  But you definitely can’t clean with this unit while the baby sleeps.

You don’t really need to use special cleaning fluid even though its recommended.  I’ve had great results with just water.  I read somewhere that some people use vinegar. Sounds like a logical thing to do and I may try it.

So, because this is ending up sounding like a review, I’m going to finish it up that way too.  I would recommend it. The Hoover f745-900 really has that once over noticeable difference that caught my attention to start with.
